Meet Ding, named after Dingbat. (She scratched me, and I said "Ouch, that hurts you dingbat.") She enjoys sleeping under my bed, clawing me and jumping from my study table to book shelf. She makes me happy, helps me learn the meaning of responsibility!
Sadly, the thought of returning her did pass my mind. I was so troubled! She kept scratching me and clawing my arms and chest area. (Ouch) Ding would not stop meowing, and was hiding under my bed for about 5 hours until she decided to venture out.
I guess I was just too used to the nature of dogs, where they roam free, sniff and piddle everywhere. After a nap & shower (Ding was still under my bed during this time), I realised that I would like Ding to be a part of my life.
It wouldn't be so bad to give a life, a chance... right?
Putting everything into perspective, the 'trouble' that this cat has caused me was inevitable! It is only natural for Ding to be nervous and hide... This is all a new environment to her, and it is only understandable for a little cat like her to find a place where she feels secure... In this case, the narrow gap between the base of my bed & the ground...
Imagine if you had an inevitable problem, and the person who promised to care for you left your life because of it.
Think about it.
Think about it.
That's how you love someone, right? You don't love someone because they're perfect already. That's just.. not it. You love someone by accepting their goods and bads. Even though they may trouble the crap out of you, it will be those times you'll laugh at when you part ways in the end.
Wow, that's how much she has taught me on Day 1. I don't know where she'll sleep tonight. Maybe next to me. Maybe I'll wake up with more scratches.
You never know, life is so unpredictable.
I mean, I would've never expected to get a cat.
