My eventful evening: A MUST WATCH!

I watched this film about an hour ago:

I have to say, I was pretty skeptical about it at the beginning. I thought it was going to fall in the lines of 'Watchmen' or something lame like that... One of the things I like to do when I am uncertain about the movie, is look at the cast. I have never really been a big fan of Bruce Willis, I have always thought of him to be abit weird since 'Die Hard'... Which I have not watched, but along with the picture in the movie poster, gave me the impression of...

GANGSTAAAA shootin' guns and schinizz
rollin' with der` gurls in bikinis

Anyway, being the open minded *ahem* person I am, I thought I'd give it a go with the rents!
So we hit the cinemas and we sat down, ads played yada yada yada. We had a talkative couple sitting behind us, but the wife decided to complain 1 minute into the movie so they moved seats~ (Yosh!!)

The movie progressed very quickly, it got to the point quick sharp and shiny! Personally, I love movies like that because I simply hate movies that take forever to get to the main point. Why? Well... by the time the suspense comes, they have to end it quickly because of the budget. That usually results in a dodgey ending, or a sequel. Eugh, I hate it when they don't warn you that it is going to be a sequel-ed movie.

Anyway, back to my review. The movie is basically about a bunch of retired FBIs (with a great sense of humor) kicking asses in a sophisticated manner. I liked these characters because they were sophisticated, there were no girls with low cut tops running around or superheroes getting laid on a Friday evening.

And oh my Dear Lord, how could I ever think of Bruce Willis in such a way? He was a FANTASTIC actor and played out a supposedly "old" man, ooooozing with charisma.
Something like this...

Evening, I have table manners. I would love to take you out on a romantic dinner date. May I have a dance with you, to your favorite Bossa Nova song?

GOSH! He was so charming throughout the entire movie! And he didn't even look 50ish, which is the current age of his character and real self (55 years *young*).

The rest of the characters were played out very well! I loved the sense of humor, it was not dry and pathetic. It had a sense of maturity to it. They kept profanities to a minimum (actually, i think the only thing they said was "s#!t" or something) and it was a fantastic film!

When the credits started rolling, my mind was racing with thoughts of how I could be a FBI agent. For half an hour or so, I was very ambitious about going hiking and paintballing five times a week. Some genuine FBI training I've thought of right there! *ahem*

I also considered going around and try to suss out which of the male species is a secret FBI agent. I'm not exactly sure about CIA, because they did not play a *significant* or *admirable* part in the movie.
In fact, once I finished watching the film, I sent a text message to Joanna.
A.) Because she mentioned that she wanted to watch the movie and showed me the trailer. To be honest, I haven't given it much thought since.
B.) To tell her that "I want an action hero boyfriend."

Honestly, when I'm older and about to get married, I wouldn't mind being teamed up with my action hero fiancé to go on dangerous missions with. Then getting caught and he can prove his love to me by risking his life. Let me make this point clear, my fiancé will NOT die in the end. We have to get married, remember? Duh~ tsk, teenagers these days...

Anyway, enough of my rambling on the movie~ Please realise that I do have a life, and I did not fantasise about Bruce Willis all the way home!
I got hungry again! So I went to eat alittle something something~

^ Hot chocolate, Iced Coffee, Meat Pie & Custard Tart~ Om nom nom! ^

AAND when we got home, I made a new friend (who was disapproved of)...

Apologies for the LQ image! I wanted to keep it indoors but we had to free it. Dude, I think I should've filmed it... It took A & I aaages to get it out. If I filmed it and mailed the footage to Animal Planet, it would've made an episode of 'The Crocodile Hunter', or even the sequel to Crocodile Dundee...

Wait, I think there is already a sequel to Crocodile Dundee... Eugh, sequels.

Good night!
Have a lovely Saturday evening and pleasant Sunday morning!

Sweet dreams,
xx

Okay, okay... I'll stop fantasising!
